Subject: [PVE-User] How to use "pveceph install" with custom repository
Date: Wed, 19 Mar 2025 17:29:03 +0100	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <48c1fad4-c228-4b6f-9a1b-b4b265b1c637@gmail.com> (raw)

Hi all,

some time in the past the behavior of "pveceph install" must have changed.
Previously I was able to edit /etc/apt/sources.list.d/ceph.list to use a repository that is mirrored
locally as the PVE host has no direct access to the internet.

If I now try to run to "pveceph install" or "pveceph install --repository no-subscription --version
squid" the script overwrites my changes to the repository definition.

How can I tell the script to not touch the definition as I already did my selection by manually
editing ceph.list?

What packages would I need to install manually to get the same result?

Thanks,

	Uwe
