Which might be a decent path forward if there's no desire to have the ceph cluster metrics emitted from proxmox nodes via the metrics endpoint.... I'm not opposed to going that route, but wanted to check in here to see if there's a more well worn path to getting this data that I'm just obliviously overlooking ;) TIA! ❤️🐺 Wolf Noble Hoof & Paw wolf@wolfspyre.com [= The contents of this message have been written, read, processed, erased, sorted, sniffed, compressed, rewritten, misspelled, overcompensated, lost, found, and most importantly delivered entirely with recycled electrons =] ^ permalink raw reply [flat|nested] 3+ messages in thread

Graphite does not seem to be there, but InfluxDB, Prometheus, Zabbix, ... are all there. That would be the direct way, and hopefully something is already there that is helpful to you. Since the MGR does not seem to support Graphite out of the box, that's where your posted link to ceph-collectd-graphite might be handy, though I have no experience with it. Sure! Totally a legit way to go... I was thinking that since there is already a metric endpoint configuration mechanism in proxmox, being able to also optionally emit ceph metrics to the same endpoint in an elegant fashion might be attractive through the lens of streamlining converged footprint metrics. I'd gotten the sense that it's mildly discouraged to go mucking with the underlying daemon configs of ceph, as one might get their fingers caught in the cookie jar during upgrades n wotnot, so thought it worthwhile to ask here first. Thanks for the tip!
