Yes !!! ... this is what were waiting for, in spite of that proxmox 
already have pretty good out-of-the-box backup  solution, we missed  inc 
& diff backups ...

After putting very good zfs support (since then every my prox setup has 
been based on ) this  is (imho) next big big step

So big congrats to the team !!!

Now  I will shortly describe my usual cluster setups ... and will have 
one question about  fitting PBS into it

- my cluster -  3 nodes ->  2 nodes are redundant VM hosts and 3rd node 
is quorum and BACKUP one !

Thank to  ZFS we actually have quasi inc backup (and the very very fast 
one -- snapshot repl etc etc )    This 3rd quorum/bck node has very big 
zfs 10 raid as backup repository ...

But ... due to  zfs I can protect just one Prox host (standalone)  with 
other prox backup server very efficiently  and the most important 
benefits in scenarios above are: (imho)

1. very efficient backup (pve-zsync / storage (cluster) sync  etc ...)

2. Every backed-up VM is ready to run !  (on very that backup node ...  
after snapshot cloning etc etc )   ... So this could be considered as DR 
solution also


So since you are about to develop true and serious backup server (huge 
respect :) that can actually replace my 3rd backup node , the question 
would be:

    Can PBS play quorum role ?    If yes, perfect ... I do not need 4th 
server , othervise  4th server (as such) is needed in smallest HA 
solution ...

or ...

   Can PBS "be" host also ? ... than I could install prox-qouroum VM 
...  etc
