Tools for migrating Hyper-V VMs to Proxmox VE

Hi,

Following a suggestion from the Proxmox support team, I’m reaching out 
to the PVE development mailing list to discuss two tools we have 
developed to simplify migration from Hyper-V to Proxmox VE.

The project consists of two components:

hv2pve – a tool for migrating VMs from Hyper-V to Proxmox VE.

hd2raw – a tool that processes Hyper-V virtual disk snapshots and merges 
the changes into the base disk image, allowing the resulting disk to be 
used on PVE.

We initially developed these tools to make Hyper-V to PVE migrations 
easier and more automated.

The support team suggested discussing the project here, as some of this 
functionality might potentially be useful to contribute directly to 
Proxmox VE, and that the PVE R&D team might be able to help with 
integrating it into the core.

I’d therefore like to get some feedback from the developers on whether 
this functionality would be of interest and, if so, what would be the 
best way to approach contributing it to the Proxmox VE project.

I’d be happy to provide more details about the implementation, current 
functionality, and the source code.
