Subject: [pve-devel] multi-cluster management roadmap ?
Date: Thu, 25 Jan 2024 09:10:04 +0000 [thread overview]

Hi,
I known it's a old request, but is their any roadmap about multi-
cluster/ multiple single hosts central gui ?
We have a lot of vmware customers looking to migrate to proxmox,
but it's really a blocker currently. (This is mostly onprem entreprise
customers, with multiple geo remote locations)
https://bugzilla.proxmox.com/show_bug.cgi?id=5185
https://forum.proxmox.com/threads/multi-datacenter-management.66830/page-4
On my side, until it's available, I'm looking if I couldn't hack
pveproxy,
with a simple central appliance, pulling the /cluster/ressources api of
each cluster and merge it locally,
reusing the current gui, calling the /cluster/ressources on this
appliance, return the central view.
Then, other call to nodes or vms, will be proxyfied/forwarded to
correct cluster
(don't really need datacenter panel here, or migration cross-cluster,
user just want to be able to have a central view of vms)
