Subject: [RFC PATCH docs] installation media: keep the size requirement more general
Date: Mon, 27 Apr 2026 13:04:33 +0200 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <20260427110517.2233330-1-d.csapak@proxmox.com> (raw)
Instead of requiring a fixed size here, just say that it must be big
enough so that the ISO can fit onto it. This is always true and should
not need further updates in the future.

we could simply bump the 1 GB to 2 (or 4), but i think this way to
phrase it is more general and we should not need to touch it.

Prepare a USB Flash Drive as Installation Medium
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
-The flash drive needs to have at least 1 GB of storage available.
+The flash drive needs to be larger than the ISO image.
NOTE: Do not use UNetbootin. It does not work with the {pve} installation image.
