I reply myself for a sake of completeness.
I've found other server that have some interface as 'eth1' or 'eth0', eg not
renamed. I've really not found the culprit, but a simple reboot solved the
trouble.
I'm suspecting that, having done OS/Kernel upgrade alongside BIOS upgrade,
simply one more reboot have to be done. ;-)
