I try to restate hoping on feedback; current situation:
Main server, UEFI/systemd-boot, done a 'zpool upgrade':
root@sdpve1:~# zpool status rpool
pool: rpool
state: ONLINE
scan: scrub repaired 0B in 00:11:24 with 0 errors on Sun Jan 11 00:35:25 2026
config:
NAME STATE READ WRITE CKSUM
rpool ONLINE 0 0 0
mirror-0 ONLINE 0 0 0
ata-MTFDDAK480TDT_2112303EC385-part3 ONLINE 0 0 0
ata-MTFDDAK480TDT_2112303EC3A2-part3 ONLINE 0 0 0
errors: No known data errors
Sparring partner server, BIOS/GRUB, NOT done a 'zpool upgrade' for the known
GRUB incompatibility with the new zpool format:
root@sdpve2:~# zpool status rpool
pool: rpool
state: ONLINE
status: Some supported and requested features are not enabled on the pool.
The pool can still be used, but some features are unavailable.
action: Enable all features using 'zpool upgrade'. Once this is done,
the pool may no longer be accessible by software that does not support
the features. See zpool-features(7) for details.
scan: scrub repaired 0B in 01:02:57 with 0 errors on Sun Jan 11 01:26:58 2026
config:
NAME STATE READ WRITE CKSUM
rpool ONLINE 0 0 0
mirror-0 ONLINE 0 0 0
ata-ST1000NM004A-2MN130_WRF08R4V-part3 ONLINE 0 0 0
ata-ST1000NM004A-2MN130_WRF08GWM-part3 ONLINE 0 0 0
errors: No known data errors
replica and migration between the two server work as expected, i'm simply
asking if this can be a source of trouble or i'm safe.
Thanks.
