This is currently in the works, as in, I'm actively working on it.

To maybe share some more details, the v2 of my RFC will be much simpler
and manageable for storage plugin devs. In fact, all third-party plugins
should then be able to be managed in the UI automatically out of the
box.

While I can't give any estimates yet, I'm fairly certain that the effort
to make your plugin look pretty in the UI should be quite low for you.
