Subject: [PVE-User] Strange behavior after update to 6.2-4
Date: Wed, 2 Sep 2020 11:18:01 -0300 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <CAOKSTBu0ScucesGP=p6C244Oy7E66kDsA27OpY1310ZaxLEmpw@mail.gmail.com> (raw)
Hi there...
Often I install PVE on top of kvm/libvirt using virt-manager, in order to
create a lab test on my laptop.
Usually I never been concern about nothing inside PVE after install it in
virt-manager, but after upgrade to 6.2-4, the VM won't started, and get
this error:
kvm: error: failed to set MSR 0xe1 to 0x0
kvm: /build/pve-qemu/pve-qemu-kvm-5.0.0/target/i386/kvm.c:2695:
kvm_buf_set_msrs: Assertion `ret == cpu->kvm_msr_buf->nmsrs' failed.
TASK ERROR: start failed: QEMU exited with code 1
I have fix it with:
echo Y > /sys/module/kvm/parameters/ignore_msrs
But I have no clue why this happened!
Thanks
