Subject: [pve-devel] [PATCH pve-vgpu-helper v2] add 'gcc' to the dependency list
Date: Fri, 9 Jan 2026 12:00:08 +0100 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <20260109110100.1744415-1-d.csapak@proxmox.com> (raw)
dkms in trixie does not depend on on any compiler anymore, so we have to
add it ourselves, otherwise the necessary build tools are not installed
for the nvidia driver.
The dependency was 'gcc | c-compiler' so by default it would choose
'gcc', so let us use that as a dependency.
The relevant debian change is
https://salsa.debian.org/debian/dkms/-/commit/655da424d244f87820ca42f363ea85837ec54e5c

this is the v2 to:

'build-essential' was overkill, just gcc is enough
