I really would add symlinks to the old names for backward compatibility, that avoids having to break older qemu-server, and I see no reason here to make our life harder needlessly. We can use the dh_link [0] debhelper for doing that, ideally with a comment that they can be removed for the next PVE major version, i.e. PVE 10.
